Farm and Lake Retreats
Ontario vacation cottage rentals
From our family to yours
Welcome to farm and lake retreats! Our goal is to share our little bit of heaven with your family.
You may wish to gaze over the endless blue waters of Lake Huron with the horizon dotted with every size of boat from tiny white sailed boats to Lakers. After a leisurely breakfast looking out on the lake, you may wish to enjoy the many sand beaches of the area, visit historic Goderich with its shopping, golf, hiking and recreational activities, antiques, beach boardwalk, museums, the Gaol and friendly people. The evenings are filled with some of the world's most spectacular sunsets and concerts in the Town Square and the Cove Park or professional theatre in nearby Blyth, Grand Bend and Stratford.
If your desire is for cottage life filled with relaxation, fishing, boating, listening to the loons and waking up to the sounds of Moira Lake lapping at the edge of the cottage, then one of our four island cottages just south of Madoc would be your destination. Your days are filled with fishing and activities on the lake, shopping for antiques in this historic part of Ontario, golfing, hiking on miles of trails, exploring Canada's original gold rush country, purchasing fruit and vegetables right from the grower and touring the artisan shops and wineries of nearby Prince Edward County.
Let Sharon and Carl take you on a tour of the cottages and the area.
About us
Sharon and Carl are full time farmers who live near Woodstock, Ontario. With six adult children living across Canada, six grandchildren and prospects for more, the cottages provide a welcome relief from the stresses of life and an opportunity for each, or all, of the family members to enjoy time at a cottage. This still leaves considerable time available to allow other families, such as yours, to rent the cottages for your enjoyment. Our goal is to share our family cottages with your family and to allow you to enjoy cottage life without the costs and responsibilities of ownership. We try to keep the cottages in "move in" condition that would permit our family and yours to enjoy time at either location and look forward to your next vacation here.
